What do they mean?

Ideally, my paintings are “meaningless” – that is in a space beyond thought where they can interact with your histories and ideologies rather than my own. However, I’ve come to find that viewers are hungry for explanation, and continue to demand that I tell them what each piece means (or why I painted it). Although I did not create any piece with a specific agenda or message in mind, I have put together a potential reading of each painting.

Find and click on the name of a painting to find out its meaning (in both English and Chinese). Please share or comment on the ones you like!
